No doubt every Hindu knows the importance of Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra. But the question is how many of us are able to chant the Vishnu Sahasranama every day ? Of course, we know the significance and relevance. But we are too busy that we do not get half an hour free to sit down and chant this mantra.
Have you ever thought of a short cut. Here I am offering an easy version of Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra which contains thousand names of Lord Vishnu.
Significance of Rama Mantra - Sri Rama Rama Rameti
Of course, I cannot claim any invention. It is there in Vishnu Sahasranam itself. Goddess Parvathi asks the Lord, which is the easiest way to recite this prayer. God tells that for the learned (pundits) it is enough to repeat the name of Rama. It is also called the Rama Mantra. Rama Mantra - Sri Rama Rama Rameti sloka which when recited gives the same effect as reciting the whole of Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra.
Parvathuvacha,
kenopayena laghunaa visnornama saharakam
padyathe panditair nityam srothumichamyaham prabho
Parvathy asked " how will the scholars recite this sloka of thousand names daily".
Iswara uvacha,
sri rama rama rameti rame rame manorame
sahasra nama tat tulyam rama nama varanane
Lord replied "Chanting the name of Rama Rama and Rama is equal to chanting the whole of Vishnu Sahasra nama stotra ".

Meaning of Rama Mantra - Sri Rama Rama Rameti
It is said that reciting the name 'Rama' one time is equal to reciting the whole Vishnusahasranama stotra one time. That means when we recite 'Rama' once, it is equal to reciting thousand names of the Lord. Again, the term 'Krishna' is equal to reciting the name Rama three times. So reciting 'Krishna' once means reciting the Lord's name three thousand times.
'Rama' who is all attractive, attracts us towards him. Chanting of the name 'Rama' is equal to chanting the thousand names of Vishnu i.e, the Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra.
